My wife & I stopped here on Sat 6/20/15. We each had an ice cream cone, very nostalgic, it has the look and feel of when it started, in 1956. It is worth the stop!

Kids love the convenience and the bike ride makes it close. I'd like to see less of the Chicago price list and a happy owner. It's a great location with even more to offer.

Best soft serve ice cream in St. Joseph. The flavor burst is really good, and they have so many things on their menu, it's hard to choose what you want to have!

Personally, I really love little ice cream shops like this. They remind me of a sort of retro look on the inside and just a very serene place to get good ice cream. I usually get a green apple or red raspberry Flavor Burst when I do come here, and it is always delicious! But I would say the only downside to this place might be customer service. It might be that I catch the lady in a bad mood, but she is kind of "Just tell me what you want and move to the side. NEXT IN LINE!" Type of business handler. A little more friendliness would make this place shining. But she serves good ice cream, so she knows what she's doing at least.

My original review was removed because it "relies on or contains secondhand information", a violation of Yelp's policies. I had passed on what my nephews and sister had told me. Here it is again, with only 1st person content: Dairy Korner is a seasonal business that closes sometime after Labor Day and reopens back in Spring. They're usually open until 10pm on most evenings. I usually go for their flurries but they have the whole gamut of ice cream treats. Upside: * Nice neighborhood location for ice cream in St. Joseph. Downside: * Their prices are high for their portions. I prefer Dairy Queen. * Bad attitude of some of the servers, almost to the level of the Seinfeld episode that revolved around a certain soup server. Some servers are friendly but the older woman who works there just scowls. It's really unnerving.

Love this place just south of saint joe. on red arrow. this is your old fashion mom and pop ice stand. love spending my cash , when I know it will stay in our community. these are the kind of places i seek out and come back to. Simply good ice cream, good service and friendly folks.

I fully agree with John K. The old lady with the black hair had it out for us. A smile or a 'hi, how are you?' would have been nice. Better customer service would give this place a possible 4 out of 5. Prices seemed fair though so I might return.

Great food! At least as far as ice cream and cheese fries. And the older lady...I don't know if she's ever been robbed, but I know she's got a stick up. Really tasty stuff there despite the old lady.
